Admission Deadlines

Enrollment Deposit

Once you are accepted for study at RBC, a $300 enrollment deposit must be received no later than June 1.* If you are accepted within the month prior to registration, you are required to submit the deposit immediately upon receipt of the acceptance letter. The deposit is applied against the first semester’s tuition charges; however, the deposit is non-refundable in the event that the student does not enroll.

*Space is limited and a class seat cannot be guaranteed until an enrollment deposit is received.

Transfer of credit from another institution

Transferability of credits earned at another institution and transferred to RBC is at the discretion of RBC. For coursework to be considered for transfer credit, students must have earned a grade of C or above or a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher when transferring an AA degree for degree completion.

Applicants who wish to transfer credits earned from an undergraduate program at another institution must make that request in writing with their application and must submit both an official transcript and a catalog description of the courses taken from the previous institution to the Registrar’s Office. Those transferring credit from another undergraduate program must take at least the final 30 credit hours at RBC.

Degree Completion

For those wishing to pursue the degree completion track, they must have an AA degree with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5, or 60 hours of well rounded undergraduate work with individual course grades of 2.0 or above and a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5. If the student is transferring 60 credits as opposed to a completed AA degree, those credits are subject to the review of the registrar’s office and will be handled in accordance with our transfer policy, which you can find in our catalog.

Advanced standing or multiple degree specializations

Students entering RBC who wish to take proficiency exams to earn advanced standing credit in their chosen degree specialization or who wish to take multiple degree specializations must submit a written petition to do so to the registrar’s office.

TOEFL and TWE scores

Any applicant whose primary language is something other than English must submit TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) scores. Applicants must achieve the following minimum scores on each section of the test: Writing — 22; Speaking — 23; Reading — 21; Listening — 17 for a combined score of no less than 83.

Dual Enrollment and Audit Students

Non-degree seeking students fall into two categories:

1. Audit students who are not enrolled in undergraduate programs at other institutions but wish to take courses at RBC without seeking to complete a program of study.
2. Dual enrollment students who desire to take classes for credit while in undergraduate programs at other institutions or while enrolled in high school. All dual enrollment students must be a minimum of 15 years of age, and must be a junior or senior in high school, according to credits completed. Dual enrollment students are eligible for 1 free course per semester until high school graduation, for a maximum of four free courses.
